How to schedule WhatsApp messages properly
WhatsApp itself has no scheduling feature for businesses. Everything filling that gap is either an automation tool driving the app, which risks the number, or the official API, which supports it natively.

What not to use
Android accessibility-service schedulers and browser extensions work by controlling the app on your behalf. That is automation of the consumer client, which breaks WhatsApp's terms.
They are also fragile: an app update breaks them, and the failure is silent, so the message you scheduled simply never goes.
Scheduling on the Business API
Scheduling is native. Anything sent first is an approved template, so a scheduled send is a template plus a time plus an audience.
You can schedule one-off sends and recurring sequences, and stop a sequence automatically when the recipient replies.
- Appointment reminders a fixed interval before the slot
- Fee and renewal reminders on a date
- Follow-up sequences that halt on reply
- Campaign sends timed to a launch
Always build a stop condition. A sequence that keeps firing at someone who has already replied is the fastest route to being blocked.

Timing
Respect waking hours in the recipient's timezone, and remember that a scheduled send at 3am is technically fine and commercially disastrous.
For reminders, closer is better: the day before plus shortly before beats a week's notice.
Frequently asked questions
Can I schedule messages in the WhatsApp Business app?
No. The app has greetings and away messages, but no scheduling. Third-party schedulers that add it work by automating the app and risk the number.
Do scheduled messages need to be templates?
Yes, if you are starting the conversation. Replies inside the 24-hour service window can be free-form but by definition are not scheduled in advance.
